First-tme family dance

Here is an event that might be of interest to PSG members, since the dance will be reminiscent of past GGG dances: a first-tme family dance 10/5 in Sand Lake, at the Sand Lake Center for the Arts. We hope to get a good turnout for this to encourage them to have more. Please come on out and have fun with us:

October 5, 1:30pm - Barn Dance with the band Set Americain and Caller Gail Griffith
$8 adults, $5 under 18
Come join your friends and neighbors for a fun, easy community dance. Caller Gail Griffith will teach fun, simple dances from around the U.S. and the world. Live music will be provided by Set Americain, a local dance band featuring John Guay on hammered dulcimer, Vonnie Estes on keyboard, Steve Fry on mandolin, Barbara Lubell on Fiddle, Maurice Mercier on Accordions and percussion, and Betsy Fry on bass. Straight from the Last Gasp. Set Americain specializes in the traditional dance music of Quebec, New England, Ireland and Europe.

No experience is needed, and no partner is needed. The dances are for every age and ability. All dances will be taught: circles, contras, and squares.
